About Way2Home

At Way2Home, we know that housing is one of the most important factors in keeping people healthy.  

Way2Home is an assertive outreach service and funded for outreach workers to engage directly with people currently experiencing rough sleeping due to homelessness, offering assistance to long term housing.

Who is this for?

We can support you if you are:

  • Experiencing rough sleeping due to homelessness (without tenancy)
  • Located in the city of Sydney LGA
  • 25 years old and above and
  • Not linked to services providing housing assistance already.

You are not eligible for this service, if you are:

  • Located outside the city of Sydney LGA
  • 24 years old or below
  • Currently rough sleeping but have a tenancy in place
  •  Experiencing couch surfing or at risk of homelessness.

For alternative support call Link2Home on 1800 152 152 and ask for a referral to:

  • Services that provide housing support in your area
  • Other homelessness specialist services
  • Temporary accommodation.

What to expect

Our team of outreach workers will engage directly with you at your rough sleeping location or within the community for support with long term housing application.

We work in partnership with health services, housing providers, and other community services to help find stable housing as well as support your health and other needs by referring onto homelessness specialist services where required.
