What to expect

Housing and Accommodation Support Initiative (HASI)

The Housing and Accommodation Support Initiative (HASI) program provides people with a mental health condition that impacts their day-to-day capacities, support with living and functioning in the community. Working in partnership with South Western Sydney Local Health District, the HASI program offers flexible, community-base 1:1 outreach support to consumers so they can better engage with their own psychological recovery journey, enhance their physical health and wellbeing, maintain their tenancy, and participation in their community of choice. Using a trauma informed recovery and client centred approach, the program aims to support people in achieving their goals and recover in the community in the way they want to.

Through the HASI program, we provide flexible, community-based support, so people can:

  • Identify their values and goals and make progress towards achieving them
  • Enhance their physical health and wellbeing
  • Participate in the community of choice
  • Gaining greater independence
  • Work to gain and maintain employment

People work with a support worker who will use their professional skills to listen and support people them regular visits in their home and local community.

Bridging and transition support

Together with the NSW government, we can support people who are being admitted to or are leaving hospital or a care unit.

We help people to put together a plan to successfully transition back into the community and avoid a relapse.

Group programs

Our group programs support people to develop knowledge, skills and resources that are consistent with their personal goals and values. Neami Western Sydney offers the group programs Flourish and Active8.
