About Neami Orange

Neami Orange is here to support you and your community in responding to distress and suicide. Together, we strengthen community resilience through workforce training, education, and community awareness in partnership with local support services.

What to expect

Workforce training:

Our training supports professionals working with at-risk clients, including first responders and generalist or specialist practitioners, in building capacity to recognise and respond to the risk of suicide.

Targeted training programs empower front-line staff to refine their approach, enabling them to  walk alongside people who are experiencing mental health challenges.

Community gatekeeper training:

Our training supports to identify and support people who are experiencing mental health challenges, including providing training in Mental Health First Aid.

Community awareness raising:

Our team deliver strategies that support campaigns and events to reduce stigma and promote understanding of mental health challenges within the community.

School-based programs:

Our team develop initiatives to promote mental health and resilience in schools by integrating mental health education into school curricula to support the well-being of students.

 

Programs we offer

Mental Health First Aid

A training program is designed to give you the skills to support someone experiencing a mental health crisis or living with mental health challenges.

Rage

A 4-week program designed to explore topics such as reflecting on anger, recognising anger symptoms, and identifying the different ways people express anger.

Love Bites

A school-based education program to empower young people with knowledge and skills to build healthy connections. The program addresses issues related to domestic and dating violence, sexual assault, and respectful relationships.

The Optimal Health Program (OHP)

A holistic look at mental and physical health by reviewing the stressors and obstacles that affect your wellbeing.

How to access this service

Contact our team if you need support building community capacity and networks to assist people who may be experiencing suicidality.

While this service does not accept individual referrals or crisis support, we can direct to existing suicide support services.
