What to expect

Community Living Supports (CLS)

Community Living Supports (CLS) is a NSW Health program that supports people living with significant mental health challenges to build independence, strengthen connections and live well.

CLS is for people who would benefit from flexible, community-based support and provides:

  • support to build everyday living skills and independence
  • support to access healthcare and other services
  • assistance with taking part in community activities, including education, employment and social connections
  • support to maintain housing and manage day-to-day responsibilities
  • personalised support for wellbeing and mental health challenges.

Sustaining Tenancies in Social Housing (STSH)

The Sustaining Tenancies program offers outreach and case management support for people in social housing. It helps address complex needs that can affect keeping a tenancy.

The STSH team liaise with other services to assist in supporting people to maintain their homes, by requesting:

  • brokerage for arrears
  • financial counselling
  • support in accessing NDIS, or coordinating clients’ NDIS plan
  • cleaning support
  • furniture or material aid
  • food support
  • psychological support services
  • supportive family intervention services
  • medical services, including Occupational Therapy, General Practitioners, etc.

We offer support that helps each participant, and the members of their household manage a tenancy independently.

The program helps prevent homelessness for those at risk and increases social connections to improve overall wellbeing.

Community and group programs

We provide a variety of group programs that bring together people receiving support from us around areas of common interest or need.

These groups might be focused on health challenges, or they might address people’s goals or aspirations for the future. The common thread is that they are there to provide both guided and peer support to help people pursue their health and wellbeing goals.

We aim wherever possible to connect people with mainstream community programs to support greater community connection and independence.
