What to expect

Outreach support

We provide rehabilitation and recovery support to people experiencing mental health issues. The type and amount of support available vary depending on your needs and eligibility. Participation is voluntary.
We support you to explore what’s important to you and help you to use your values and strengths to live a more fulfilling life.

Examples of areas we can support you with include:

  • Strengthening relationships with family and friends
  • Physical health and well-being
  • Pursuing education and employment opportunities
  • Connecting with the local community.

Peer support

Our service teams include Peer Support Workers who combine their professional training with a personal, lived experience of recovery.

Group programs

Our groups support you to develop knowledge, skills and resources that are consistent with your goals and values while benefiting from the shared experience of working with a group.

Health Promotion

There are several areas where physical health and wellbeing can contribute to or undermine recovery from mental illness. We promote good health throughout all our services.

How to access this service

Referrals can be made by individuals, carers, families, mental health professionals or other health care providers. Referrals must be discussed with the individual prior to making the referral.

We encourage referrals from people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, youth and refugees.

Referrals by clinicians (Community/Inpatient MH Units) are made directly to the Macarthur Assertive Treatment Team (MATT).
