Your mental health hub
The Living and Learning Centre offers coaching and wellbeing support for people living in the North Brisbane and Pine Rivers area experiencing emerging, moderate or severe mental health concerns.
Through one-on-one and group sessions we integrate mental health and wellbeing coaching with access to psychosocial and clinical support.
Support can help with daily living, looking after your health, finding a home, gaining employment as well as improving your connections with family, friends and the community.
One-on-one support
The Living and Learning Centre offers up to six-months of one-on-one support that can assist you to make positive changes to your mental health and wellbeing.
Wellbeing Coaching
An experienced Wellbeing Coach will support you for up to six months to manage your mental health and wellbeing by assisting you to:
- Identify your strengths and values to help set goals to live a more enjoyable and meaningful
- Recognise your available supports while finding new strategies to improve resilience and self-care.
Care Coordination
If you’re experiencing severe mental health concerns, a Mental Health Nurse is available to help you coordinate supports and access community-based physical and mental health services.
Psychotherapies
Short term, one-on-one and group based interventions that are available to you if you’re unable to access psychological services through the Medicare Better Access Scheme.
Group support
Group programs run at the Living and Learning Centre can help you to build confidence, gain independence and develop skills.
Flourish
For people who are looking to make improvements in their life and enhance wellbeing, this 12-week self-development program is facilitated by support workers with a lived experience of recovery.
Recovery Support Group
A peer-led group that offers a safe and understanding space to talk through your feelings and experiences, with the aim of supporting and learning from each other.
Optimal Health Program
An 8-session program that encourages you to examine what optimal health means to you. Taking a holistic approach, Optimal Health Program supports you to put strategies and priorities in place to make positive changes.
Wise Choices
Develop the skills to manage difficult thoughts and feelings to lead a healthy life and improve relationships in this 10-week Acceptance and Commitment Therapy-based program.

- 18 years and over
- Residing in the North Brisbane or Pine Rivers areas
- Who have mental health
How to access the service
Anyone can make a referral to the Living and Learning Centre, including:
- You
- Your Doctor or General Practitioner
- A family member or friend
- Other mental health or health
