We’re Neami.
We believe in everyone having the opportunity to live a life that’s meaningful.
For more than 30 years, we’ve been supporting people to achieve the wellbeing and mental health outcomes that matter to them.
Driving our purpose and vision for the future are our Social Impact Strategy, Strategic Directions, and organisational Values.
We’ve been listening to staff, the sector, and the people we support to understand what’s important and their hopes for the future.
It’s shaped where we’re headed and helped us to define the difference we want to make in the world.
We are committed to our 10-year Social Impact Strategy.
As a national organisation working across many different Indigenous lands, we have a responsibility to understand and improve how we contribute to long-term social, economic, and environmental change.
Our four-year Strategic Directions set our goals and priorities to bring our vision to life and fulfil our purpose.
Placing lived and living experience, along with First Nations perspectives at the heart of what we do, we’re committed to:
– great consumer experiences,
– building collective knowledge and partnerships,
– being a sustainable and resilient organisation,
– and having a capable and diverse workforce.
Our Values of connecting, collaborating, learning, and belonging underpin our vision. They shape our workplace culture and guide our decisions and actions.
Combined, our Social Impact Strategy, Strategic Directions, and organisational Values help us to deliver meaningful and sustainable impact, now and into the future.
Everyone at Neami is part of this vision, and plays a role in making a positive difference.

Our vision for social impact
We aspire to contribute to a world in which people have equitable access to opportunities and resources, are treated with dignity and worth, and experience a sense of connectedness, inclusion and belonging. We hold this vision for all people, but particularly for people and groups who have experienced marginalisation.
Key areas of social impact
The Strategy outlines the different areas of impact we aspire to positively contribute to long-term:
- Empowered communities
- Meaningful activities and financial resources
- Social inclusion, connection and belonging
- Safety and stability
- Environmental health
- Holistic, person-centred systems.
To develop the Strategy, we undertook extensive internal and external consultation because we really wanted to understand the needs of our stakeholders.
