About this service
Universal Aftercare offers compassionate, non-clinical support and care coordination to people aged 16 and over in the Perth area following a suicide attempt or suicidal distress. We accept referrals from the Royal Perth Hospital, Fiona Stanley Hospital or Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital.

What to expect
Our Community Care Coordinators offer compassionate, non-judgemental support. Some of our team have their own experience of suicidal thoughts or an attempt.
Based on your needs and priorities, we can support you to:
- create a plan that helps you decide what to do and who to call when you feel distressed
- develop a wellbeing plan for your next steps
- connect with local services such as health, counselling, financial services and community groups
- build your confidence and connect with family, friends and social networks.
Support can be provided:
- for a period of up to three months
- face-to-face in your home, in the community or our offices
- over the phone or via video chat.
This service if free for participants.
