Neami Rockingham provides rehabilitation and recovery support to people experiencing mental illness who require assistance in the areas of skill development and social contact.
Our focus is primarily on individuals who are experiencing isolation in their lives because of a severe and enduring mental illness, who may benefit from social interaction. We offer both group programs and individual support.
Individual support
Our adult community mental health program actively promotes and incorporates recovery principles into everyday service delivery.
Individual support is strengths-based and informed by the Collaborative Recovery Model (CRM), which aims to identify personal values and goals and collaborate on making progress in achieving them.
The Adult Community Mental Health program is available for people who do not have an NDIS plan.
Group programs
Our groups programs support you to develop knowledge, skills and resources that are consistent with your personal goals and values while benefiting from the shared experience of group work.
A multi-disciplinary team of community support workers run the programs, including people with an experience of mental health recovery.
Our group programs aim to help you to:
- Develop your social networks and strengthen relationships
- Participate in community activities
- Increase your independence and confidence.
Eligibility
Criteria include:
- A diagnosed mental health condition
- Willingness to engage in recovery
- Must be currently engaged with an external mental health provider
- Not eligible for psychosocial support through the NDIS.
