Neami health promotion featured in the latest newparadigm

Several Neami staff have authored articles describing innovative approaches to improving physical health in the current newparadigm publication.

newparadigm is a quarterly publication developed by Community Mental Health Australia and Mental Health Victoria (formerly Vicserv). It features new research and developments in the psychosocial rehabilitation sector.

The current issue of newparadigm focuses on the link between physical and mental health and wellbeing. Several Neami staff have authored articles describing innovative approaches to improving physical health:

  • Marianne Easton, Health Promotion Officer in South Australia contributed to an article titled: Increasing awareness of physical health care in a mental health setting.
  • Sarah O’Connor, Research Officer, contributed to an article called: Body and mind recovery: physical health screening amount people living with mental illness.
  • Vicki Langan, Health and Wellbeing Manger NSW and Glen Tobias, State Manager Victoria, co-authored along with others, Smile for Health: An evidence-based oral health promotion program for people living with severe mental illness.
