We provide individual recovery support to people experiencing mental health issues.
The type and amount of support available varies depending on your needs and eligibility. We support you to identify your own strengths, values and goals in life.
Community outreach provides support in your recovery while also strengthening your connections to your community and support networks.
Examples of things we can support you with include:
- Becoming involved in social and community activities, and connecting with local services
- Improving relationships with family and friends
- Improving physical health and wellbeing
- Becoming more confident in everyday tasks such as budgeting, catching public transport and looking after your home
- Pursuing education and employment opportunities
Our outreach services are funded by the SA Health through the Individual Psycho-social Rehabilitation and Support Service (IPRSS).
Community and group programs
We provide a variety of group programs that bring together people receiving support from us around areas of common interest or need.
This includes our own group programs, Comet Arts, Digits, Flourish and the Optimal Health Program.
These groups might be focused on health issues or they might address people’s goals or aspirations for the future. The common thread is that they are there to provide both guided and peer support to help people pursue their health and wellbeing goals.
Our community and group programs are funded by SA Health through the Individual Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Support Service (IPRSS) and Day and Group Program.
The eligibility criteria varies for our different programs. Please contact this service to discuss whether our programs are suitable for you.
Referrals can be made through the Kangaroo Island Health Service: 08 8553 4200
